A starting point you can correct
This prototype follows one stable pitch at a time. Start with a clear, isolated instrument or a steady hummed melody between E2 and C6. Notes shorter than about 80 milliseconds, breathy vocals, bends, heavy reverb and background noise can be missed or misread. Listen to the result and adjust each note before export.
Chordal piano, multi-instrument songs, instrument isolation and sheet music are outside this version’s scope. The four-note example demonstrates the workflow; it does not establish accuracy on your recordings.
MP3 to MIDI and WAV to MIDI
Both file types use this same workbench. MIDI contains note instructions, not the sound of your recording. Import the downloaded .mid file into a software instrument track, choose a sound, and import its tempo map when prompted. This version writes a single, manually chosen tempo in 4/4.
